This game manual is for Universe version 0.8.
This is a glossary of some terms that you may not be familar with.
parsec
A parsec is a unit of distance. It is approximately 3.24 light-years.
The parsec is defined as the distance at which the radius of the Earth's
orbit subtends an angle of one arc second.
light-year
A light-year is the distance that light travels in one year. Since light
travels at 3.00x108 m/sec, a light-year is 9.47x1012
kilometers (or 5.88x1012 miles).
Gliese Star Catalog
The Gliese star catalog contains a listing of the closest stars within
25 parsecs. This catalog contains over 3,800 stars!
There is a game option to use this catalog for creation of the game's star
systems.
Stellar Type
The Stellar Type of a star describes the color and size.
